**** 9th October 2007 Prof. Sano delivered a speech before His Majesty Mohammad VI, the King of Morocco at the occasion of lailatul Qadr in Fes. Prof. Sano has been receiving invitations since 2004 from His Majesty the King to take part in the Hassanite Lectures which are hosted and chaired by His Majesty the King. These lectures are unique in the Muslim world and only highly and well-known scholars are invited to attend them. There is no country in the Muslim world where a great number of eminent scholars gather to discuss many contemporary issues without fear and emotion. His Majesty personally chairs the lectures with all members of the Government and senior officers in the Kingdom of Morocco. Certainly, it is a distinction and pride for His Majesty and the people of Morocco. The most significant aspect of these lectures is the humbleness and modesty of His Majesty who greatly and proudly sits on the ground while the scholars who deliver lectures are sitting on a very high chair showing the great respect that His Majesty has in regard to knowledge and learned people.
